FEM Modelling

Protron uses two modeling tools for the design of microelectromechanical systems.

COMSOL multiphysics modeling

Simulation Tool for Electrical, Mechanical, Fluid Flow, and Chemical Applications COMSOL Multiphysics® is a general-purpose software platform, based on advanced numerical methods, for modeling and simulating physics-based problems. With COMSOL Multiphysics, we are able to account for coupled or multiphysics phenomena. With more than 30 add-on products to choose from, we can further expand the simulation platform with dedicated physics interfaces and tools for electrical, mechanical, fluid flow, and chemical applications.

EMPIRE 3D electromagnetic field simulation

EMPIRE developed by engineering excellence – is one of the leading 3D electromagnetic field simulators. It is based on the powerful Finite Difference Time Domain method (FDTD), which has become an industrial standard for RF and microwave component and antenna design. Due to EMPIRE unique adaptive on-the-fly code generation it exhibits the fastest simulation engine known today. With this highly accelerated kernel full-wave EM-simulation problems can now be solved in minutes which used to take days some years ago.
